DVS Backup says wrong Username or Password

Problem

When logging in to the DVS Backup program it states “Wrong Username or Password”.
However, you can log into the dvsbackup.com website without an issue.

Cause

When the account is set up, two accounts are actually made, a DVS-Soft account and a DVS Backup account. They both have the same username and password that was set up initially. If one of the passwords is changed, it won’t change the other.

Solution

To change passwords, you need to go to DVSBackup.com and click Open Login Panel. Enter your details at the top, making sure the last box says Client.

To change the DVS Soft password (used to login to the website):

  1. Once logged in to the website, click My Profile.
  2. You need to answer your security questions and then you will be able to change the password.

To change the DVS Backup account password (used to login to the program):

  1. Once logged in to the website, click My Account.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Enter the security questions and then you will be able to change the password.
