“Access Denied” when opening a PDF

Problem

When you try to save a PDF file from a website, you get the error “access denied”.

Cause

Protected mode is enabled in Adobe Reader and will not allow the file to be opened.

Solution

Disable Protected Mode in Adobe Reader X.
