Uninstall MacKeeper

MacKeeper is NOT our product. We have received some comments which assume that we are the developers. Please direct those queries to Zeobit.
We are sorry to inform you that this Solution has been suspended for a brief period as FixKB have received a formal complaint and we must investigate our position before taking any further action.

Although our comments section is still open and we will receive and read your comments. All comments will be suspended until this is resolved.

This does not effect the other uninstall tools we supply for other programs.

Problem

On your Mac, you get popups asking for you to purchase a program called MacKeeper.
A trial of the application may have been previously installed.

Solution

  1. Download and run our Removal Tool.
  2. If prompted asking if you want to open the file, click Open.
  3. If you don’t see the application then click the bouncing icon on the Dock to see it appear.
  4. Click the Continue button to start uninstalling.
  5. Enter your password if you have one and press Enter or click OK.
  6. You will be prompted once it has finished. Click OK.
Quit Safari and delete the following files (if they exist):

  • /Applications/MacKeeper.app
  • /Library/Application Support/MacKeeper
  • /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.zeobit.MacKeeper.AntiVirus
  • /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.zeobit.MacKeeper.plugin.AntiTheft.daemon
